Charcoal Whitening Toothpaste Update!

We’re back to blog about Charcoal whitening toothpaste. We tried two different kinds, Hello activated charcoal-fluoride free whitening toothpaste AND Schmidt’s activated charcoal- fluoride free toothpaste.

(Sarah and Jackie using Hello charcoal toothpaste)

Here are our reviews:

Image result for hello charcoal toothpasteThe Hello activated charcoal toothpaste definitely got our teeth feeling sparkly clean, and it had a very clean mint flavor to it. Our assistant, Jackie also thought her teeth were noticeably whiter. The cleanliness also lasted all day, even after lunch and dinner!

We both compared it to using a Sonicare toothbrush. But, it felt so clean because the toothpaste is definitely abrasive. For those who are using it at home, please be careful not to use it TOO much because it can slowly start to wear away the enamel and make your teeth more sensitive to cold.

It also is black and does get all over the sink and your face. We found speckles of black toothpaste hours after we used it. It even warns you of this on the back of the tube!

The paste itself was also a whiter color so you don’t have to deal with the black speckles all over your bathroom sink.

After using this toothpaste for 2 minutes, it didn’t have as much as an abrasive feeling as the Hello brand toothpaste. Our assistant Jackie did not like this feeling as much, and she much preferred the Hello brand over Schmidt’s brand.

Sarah, our dental hygienist, liked the Schmitt’s due to the fact that it was less abrasive and the flavor was very nice.

Hope this helps, and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to give our office a call. We love talking about toothpaste!
